Instructions (13 steps)

Season pork with salt, pepper, cumin, and oregano.

Cook pork in oil until browned and tender.

Remove pork and in same pan, Cook onion and garlic.

Mix masa harina with warm chicken broth and achiote.

Add oil and knead until smooth.

Soften banana leaves by passing over flame or hot griddle.

Cut banana leaves into rectangles.

Spread masa on banana leaf.

Fold banana leaf to enclose filling.
