Soak salt cod 24-48 hours, changing water every 8 hours.

Boil cod 20 minutes. Cool, remove bones and skin. Shred finely.

Boil potatoes. Mash while hot.

Mix cod, potatoes, onion, garlic, parsley, eggs, nutmeg, pepper.

Mixture should hold together but be moist. Don't add flour.

Heat oil to 350°F. Form oval shapes with two spoons.
